Plextalk^® Pocket

The Pocket just raised the bar in ultra portable solid-state digital audio recording, and audio book player technology.

The Plextalk Pocket is the latest in sold-state digital recorders from Plextor designed for Blind or sighted users from the ground up.  Record in a wide range of DAISY MP3 formats for voice or high quality music applications.  Use the Pocket as an audio note taker and enter audio navigation markers while in record or playback mode and it provides simple audio editing features using DAISY heading and section markers.

Applications include:

DAISY Book Player, Bookshare Books, Read Text and HTML files with its built-in Text-To-Speech synthesizer. Record Music, Lectures, Meetings, take audio notes and Voice Memo Recorder.  Compatible with DAISY media created with eClipseWriter Pro.

Available in Black or White colors and includes and 2 Gig SD memory card.

About recording modes and sound quality

When recording, the Pocket gives you the ability to select from 6 recording modes.

• Default - for making general recordings and voice recordings where there is relatively low background noise.

• Conference - for recording environments, such as conferences, lectures and classrooms, where the background noise is expected to be high.

• Audio - for recording from audio devices such as CD players.

• Analogue cassette - for recording from analogue cassettes.

• Radio - for recording from radio broadcasts.

• Custom - if none of the above options gives you the kind of recording that you want, this recording mode allows you to set all the parameters manually.
